Lukomir
At 1,469 metres above sea level lies Bosnia's highest village. Stone houses with shingle roofs, flocks of sheep, and a hospitality unchanged for 600 years. In winter Lukomir is cut off by snow for months — in summer it is the starting point for some of the country's most beautiful hikes along the Rakitnica canyon.
