Stari Most has arched over the Neretva for almost 500 years — and when the city's young men throw themselves 24 metres into the ice-cold water, the whole world holds its breath. But Mostar is more than the bridge: walk ten minutes from the bazaar and you find wine bars, hidden courtyards and Herzegovina's relaxed southern pulse.
